Carbon Gravel++ : The Perfect 5-stars!
'The Scribe Carbon Wide++ 700 Disc Wheel set is a super-fast setup that's incredibly light, responsive and quick to engage. The performance matches or beats wheels at twice the price, and as an overall package it's hard to fault'.
'These wheels are light. I personally class any wheelset under 1,500g as light, and anything under 1,400g as very light – these Scribe wheels are 1,360g. It is possible to go even lighter, but doing so usually means significant expense: the ENVE G23 with certain hub combinations is sub-1,300g, for example, but £3,100'.
'Hit the hills and these light wheels sail up, with the stiffness helping you put the power down. On rough tracks the little bit of flex and comfort is also impressive, holding the line well but giving just enough to track well – instead of pinball – through the rocks'.

Cycling Tips: Wide+ 42 Disc Review
'A wheelset like these Scribes makes me really question what a far more expensive wheelset still has to offer. Ok, place of manufacturer or at least attention to sustainable manufacturing is one reason to still spend more. Or maybe getting a big-name hub knowing that parts will always exist is another reason. But beyond that I really start clasping at straws when it comes to a wheel for disc brake use'.
'They’re impressively low in weight, too. My sample set of 42s weighed 1,420 grams (1,438 g claimed) with the supplied tubeless tape. That’s an impressively competitive figure that holds its own against a number of premium wheels'.
'There’s an immediate sense of positive system stiffness and security. There’s no annoying hub flex causing rubbing of the disc brakes when leaning the bike over or sprinting. There’s no bearing play at the hubs. And there’s a good direct feeling to the rims, too. Jump on the pedals and these wheels react as you expect them to'.
'These wheels just feel like a high-end racing wheel. That low weight spins up quickly and there just isn’t much to tell these apart from far more expensive hoops. The fairly stable handling in crosswinds is what I’d expect for a wide rim of this depth, and they seem to hold their speed as well as similar mid-depth wheels, too'.

Wide+60 Disc: Editor's Choice from Cycling News! (9/10)
'Scribe clearly has a winner on its hands with the Aero Wide+60Ds. Looking at the specifications, the wheels are comparatively light and come in at a price point well below the £1,000 threshold - £870 to be precise'
'They devour rolling terrain and carry momentum with ease. In fact, most of my rides during December and over the Rapha Festive 500 comprised fast, undulating topography and the Scribe Aero Wide+ 60Ds were phenomenal'
'They're durable, too, and despite several blows from unavoidable potholes, the wheels have remained true and have shown no signs of buckling'
'As far as stiffness goes, there's very little in the way of perceptible flex thanks to the strengthened walls and 2:1 spoke-lacing pattern both front (21H) and rear (24H)'

Rouleur: The Desire Collection
Scribe Features amongst some of the biggest players around in Rouleur's Desire Collection:
You can find out how we're different to other brands HERE but this is what Rouleur had to say...
"The headline specs on Scribe’s wheels would appear to give many more well-known brands a run for their money. Not only are weight and stiffness comparable, but the company arrived on the scene with a range replete with the latest design trends. Being wide, gently curved, and tubeless-ready, they’re spot on when it comes to matching most riders’ requirements. With rims designed to the widely used National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics aerofoil shape, their 30mm external width means these work perfectly with tyres up to and around 30c".
"With a ramped rim bed, this makes getting your tyres into place less stressful, while the traditional hooked bead lock design ensures excellent security, especially at lower pressures. Available in a range of depths from 32 to 60mm, some of the deeper options also come in asymmetrical front and rear combinations to balance aerodynamics and stability. Built with Sapim CX-Ray spokes, the nipples for these sit outside the rim. Giving this area of the wheel a slightly more traditional look, it will nevertheless make the work of home mechanics easier, letting them leave tyres in place while attempting adjustments".

Wide+ 50 Disc: 9/10 stars from Cyclist!
When the speed gets north of, say 30kmh, and certainly when it’s nudging 40kmh, the silky running of these hubs combines with Scribe’s aero learnings to propel you at serious speed with little comparatively effort.
Testing a deep-section wheelset in the midst of autumn gives ample opportunity to gauge its response to the bête noire of year-round riders: crosswinds. Compared to the Giant wheelset, the Scribe Aero Wide+ 50-D wheels offered noticeably more confidence on wind-whipped rides, whether cross-tail, cross-head or ‘force 10 in the ribs’ gusts to the flanks.

NEW Wide+ 50 gets 9/10 stars from road.cc
"Impressive aerodynamics, low weight, lots of stiffness and plenty of durability, all while coming in way under the £1,000 mark. You are also getting plenty of stiffness, so climbing and acceleration also benefit"
"The Aero Wide+ 50-D wheelset brings a noticeable difference to aerodynamics over many narrower carbon fibre wheels, and, more importantly, at the speeds you are likely to find yourself riding in the real world. The fact that this has been achieved while keeping the weight and price down but the stiffness up, is great news"

Cyclist Magazine give 9/10 to Wide+ 32-Disc!
'At 1.41kg for the pair (780/630g), Scribe’s wheels are all comparable to alternatives costing double or triple the price'
'I swapped these Scribes in for a set of very posh DT Swiss wheels. At the risk of having to hand in my bike kit reviewing card, they didn’t give away as much as I’d expected. There was little in it when it came to weight or stiffness. Plus I preferred the wider rims on the Scribes'
'The rims use disc-specific optimised glass transition resin paired with high filament Japanese Toray T700 and T800 uni-directional carbon fibre. All of which sounds very saucy should you enjoy that kind of thing'

Road.cc ride 50-Discs (9/10)
One Mission: to bring you the best Pound-for-Pound wheels possible; Zero Compromise. Here's some comments from our latest review on road.cc
'The Scribe Aero Wide 50-D carbon disc wheels are all about speed according to the manufacturer, and they don't disappoint. Matching a wind-cheating 50mm-deep rim to smooth-running hubs, an instantaneous freehub engagement and plenty of stiffness makes for a set of wheels that deliver for those who want to put the hammer down'
'If your bike has rotors and you want to go fast then these are the wheels to achieve that'
'Once you are above 20mph these things really start to fly. You can almost feel them dragging you along without much need for any extra input power-wise'

Cyclist Magazine - Lead Out
'Strong, light, cheap...pick two. Or look towards Scribe which is trying to rewrite the rule book on what a sub £1,000 wheelset can do'
At only 1,408g in weight, the Aero 32s are exceptionally lightweight and pound-for-pound, feature amongst the best wheels out there. Partnered with lightning fast Scribe Five4 hubs (54-tooth / 6.6 degree engagement), these wheels respond FAST, offering unrivalled levels of performance.

Road.cc ride Aero 38s (9/10)
In developing the Aero Wide 38 wheels, Scribe has shown that while the disc brake continues to grow in popularity there is still plenty to be done for those of us who prefer rim brakes to stop our bikes. Weighing just 1,401g without sacrificing stiffness, these wheels are fast, hugely versatile and they come in at an impressive price.
Acceleration is epic, and when you are riding in unfamiliar places and don't know what is around the corner, finding yourself at the foot of a hill isn't an issue as just a quick dig on the pedals or climb out of the saddle will see the wheels maintain pace much easier than a heavier set.

Road.cc ride Race Alloy (9/10)
'If you're searching for lightweight wheels as a general upgrade for riding or even racing, carbon fibre rims are typically the go-to option. But the Scribe Race wheels show that you can have pretty much all of the performance and stiffness of carbon in alloy guise without the price tag'
'Scribe has delivered a double whammy with its new Race wheelset. Not only are they light enough to compete with similar depth carbon fibre wheels, they'll cost you at least half the price. And to achieve the numbers on the scale, Scribe hasn't sacrificed on strength or stiffness either'
